Should you bring food and drinks? Bring food/snacks and drinks which we eat before the return. Lunch from a nearby café can also be ordered as an additional product. We can arrange vegan lunch but not anything without gluten.
What is the age limit for the horseback riding tour? The age limit for the horseback riding tour is 8 years. Younger participants may possibly join if they are accompanied by a person over 14 years old. (must be agreed first with Stall Kjellbotn).
Is there a maximum age to join a horseback riding tour? No, age is just a number. What matters is the physical condition, and that must be easy to determine yourself. Having good balance is a good thing.
Do you need experience to join a horseback riding tour? No, we have very easy horses that can easily be ridden by inexperienced and young riders.
Do you need to bring your own helmet? No, if you do not have one yourself, we have helmets available to borrow.
How do you pay? Payment for horseback riding tours is done at booking with a credit card. In some cases we send an invoice.

Pictures from horseback riding tours may be used in Stall Kjellbotn promotion on the website and on social media. We rarely name people, and if we do it is only by first name. If you do not want to be photographed, just let us know and we respect this.
Can you explain how a horseback riding tour works?
– Meeting at Stall Kjellbotn Ørskogfjellet 20 minutes before the tour starts. We assign a horse that suits each person best and give a quick short riding instruction about what is necessary, for those who need it. We find helmets for those who do not have one.
– We mount the horses and ride out. The tours take place at varied tempo and gaits. We start very gently so everyone gets warmed up and increase the tempo gradually. If some want to ride faster than others, we divide the group.
Halfway we take a break and eat. Return the same way back. We unsaddle and hang up equipment before we are finished.
Can you give carrots to the horses? Yes, you can after the horseback riding tour.
Will I reach my cruise ship before it sails? Yes, you will, with many hours margin.
